About Eilat
Weather in Eilat
Being the southern most part of Israel, Eilat enjoys the warmest weather and the highest amount of sunny days in Israel.
Weather in the Summer (July - August)
The temperatures in the summertime can reach 45°C during the day and about 25°C at night.
The air in Eilat is relatively low in humidity with a constant cooling breeze.
The temperature of the Red Sea is approximately 24°C, this temperature is more or less constant all year round. Which allows the guests of Eilat to enjoy the Sea no matter what time of year.
The wind in Eilat is usually a Northwind from the Negev Desert. This sort of wind does not cause waves in the north part of the Red Sea. This combination of wind and calm sea make an ideal condition for windsurfers.
The temperatures in the wintertime can reach 26°C during the day, nice weather for sunbathing and swimming.
At night the temperature can drop to about 15°C, which is great weather for a nice walk on the beach at night.
The annual rain fall in Eilat is about 25mm (1 inch) which is not a lot of water, which is one of the reasons they say "Everyday is a Sunday in Eilat".
In the wintertime, there are a few days of strong winds in the sea, which can create rough sea conditions, this usually lasts about one day and returns to normal the day after.
Weather in Spring and Fall
The weather and the Sea temperature are pleasant during the day and night which allows you to take full advantage of our beaches.
